Rocking Chair Quilts has a new owner! Marsha Youngblood purchased the store in July of 2024 and has been busy adding new fabric lines, lots of craft kits, and scheduling several classes each month. Located on I-49 south of the Kansas City area, it makes a great day trip if you’re not local to the shop. Friendly and knowledgeable staff to help make that project a little easier. An anniversary celebration is scheduled during the first week of the All Missouri Shop Hop in September!
Rocking Chair Quilts is also home to their local chapter of the Quilts of Valor Organization called “Honor Quilters” (99379). This local chapter cover several counties in Missouri where there have been no coverage in the past, including Bates, Cass, St. Clair, Vernon, Henry, Hickory, and more. The volunteer group is always busy making quilts to award to veterans in their area. Ask a staff member to find out more information.
